JENKEM WARRIORS POLAND TOUR POSTER

SO not so many uploads lately, because life is full of so many other things than internet and drawing and I'm quite a unfocused guy. But I've been working on this little thing for my band, we're heading to Poland in the end of january on a mini-tour as a benefit for Food Not Bombs in Norway and Poland. I think it's really cool to be able to do these kind of things and am also really happy that people actually bother to go through the effort of booking us for such a cool cause! We will be bringing our new split ep with the ANTI-SOCIAL REJECTS and a bunch of t-shirts and screen printed posters!

PUNKROCK WITHOUT BORDERS

Today I finished the cover for Primitive-Distro's seventh volume of the compilation "Punk Rock Without Borders". It's the first time I used as dominant colours as this and I'm really happy with the result. I'm gonna upload it to the INK section. Among the bands on the compilation you will find La Casa Fantom, Partiya, Victims of Classwar and hopefully my band; Jenkem Warriors. It's only gonna be released on CD but I think it's gonna be fucking good.

MASKINA/THE MACHINE

You know, sometimes; there are just those works you can't get around to finishing. For me, it's been three very lazy months on the art front. Planning to get some shit done and start working more intensively now; this is my submission for CREATE//RESIST (artzine, you can find it in my links) I call it THE MACHINE/MASKINA and it's very much inspired by the works of Robin who did all the coverwork for Kort Prosess (great norwegian 90's hardcore punk) I've used a combination of split-pens and the "pilot"s.
I hope you enjoy it. Can also be  found in the INK Section. I'll also upload some stuff from Kort Prosess to give you the "feel" of my associations.

Barrikaden 14 years

Our beloved Bassment is officially 14 years this weekend! So I made this poster for the show, we're flying in our dear friends from Bastinados and putting together some of the best punk bands from mid-norway. Also, we're bringing out this homemade Wheel of Disfortune and will be giving away prizes to the winners. There will be cocktail bar and good times! Come along! A las Barricadas!

Mural, mural on the wall...

For the last week I've been working on a mural at the autonomous social centre BLITZ, in Oslo. I'm planning on covering a bigger area but five permanent graffiti markers and several litres of paint later; this is what we ended up with and I'm pretty satisfied. More shoots coming up! These will also be uploaded in a new section in the gallery when I manage to come up with a name for it. It's the first time I worked with a this wide canvas and I can see that I need more practice in focus and patience since the only part I'm not happy with is the buildings.

CREATE//RESIST

A while ago, I found this really great online/paper zine/collective called CREATE//RESIST, consisting of european punk and hc artists from all over the place. Last week I asked to join the next issue and I got a invite today. This will be the first paperzine I'll be in besides from my shitty KAPTEIN ATOMKRAFT comics that were in PSYKOSE and GATEAVISA a while back.  I'm really looking forward to collaborating with the collective and hope people will be following the issues! Also, there are tons of great artists in the collective way better than me. Ch-ch-check   it out.
                           

Real junk food

Let's just make one thing perfectly fucking clear! There are very few things I love more than vegan food, anti-capitalism and fanzines! So my P.C DIY Boner grew to unknown proportions when I was invited to the graphics for upcomin' Food Not Bombs zine, "Mat Mot Makta" (Food against the Power). I engage in food not bombs in Oslo as often as I can and has been for the past four years. It was lots of fun doing it in this comic book cover style since it's a lot cleaner and less psychotic than my general stuff... Maybe I'll do more of it. Made with the regular tools of the trade (fillables and pencils). I think I even may try copying it and splashing on some colour later! Not for the official cover but I might press it up as posters as well! Enjoy!
